Just received a copy of ‘Cruel Crossing’ by Edward Stourton for which Encompass Graphics were asked to take on the cartography.
The book tells the story of the men and women who ran the escape lines across the Pyrenees during World War Two. Encompass created two maps for the book. One map illustrates the escape lines (Pat Line and Comet Line) within the wider context of occupied Euorpe, the other map focuses on the Pyrenees with three inset maps detailing the Comet Line, Chemin da Liberté and Pat Line via Perpignan.
